Early 20th Century 900 Silver Gilt 'Letter' Vesta 19th Century Armytage to the front pastedownA fine and unusual early 20th century 900 silver gilt vesta, likely American in origin. The vesta is in the form of a sealed envelope, with the front bearing a silver stamp and the address 'His Excellency, Count d'Aico Valley, Washington' and the reverse showing the envelope folds with a match striker to the stamp end. There is some tarnish to the gilt and the hinge is a little over sprung; it opens nicely but has lost its 'snap'. A great little
